After leaving Eyota, we continued our hunt for the prized 487. We were just outside of Dover when we heard the unmistakable sound of an EMD 645 prime mover working up grade. We did a quick U turn and I was able to fire off this shot as the three SD40-2s roared up hill. The Waseca Sub has some excellent spots to shoot things from! |

After negotiating the traffic and heavy rain at Rochester, we set up for a shot just east of Byron, MN. The tracks here are at a slight grade, so the train was giving it all it had to get the 130 car freight up and over the hill. |
